Salute Your Brother
You know this weekend is Memorial Day right? It’s a time to be thankful for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for the rest of us Americans. It’s for those who have fallen, a the families whose hearts are in pieces over the loss.
Since I don’t have close personal connections who have died in the line of duty, I am instead super grateful for the friends and family who served or are serving. Those men and women are real Heroes.
So, Dad, Jon, Chris, Steve, Jeff, Rachel, Kevin, and everybody else I’m forgetting, thank you. Thank you to the spouses, parents and children for sharing your loved ones.
My dad always made an example of thanking our servicemen and women when seeing them in public, one I try to emulate. Let it be a personal challenge to thank them now, and remember them in prayer, and not just on Memorial Day.
Whose with me?
