Wedding Review: First Anniversary

Just typing that title was a bit bizarre. Bryan and I are rapidly approaching the end of our Newlywed days. Tonight in fact is the last night as newlyweds. Tomorrow is our one year anniversary.
It’s so hard to believe this time a year ago we were anxiously waiting for May 19th, and that we haven’t been married for longer than a year. I guess when you marry the guy you dated for 4.5 years (to the day of the wedding) the amount of time in the first year seems pretty insignificant.
It was definitely not a hard year, even though we moved far away from family and friends, and bought a house. if this was the ‘hardest year’ (which I never really believed was possible) then we are off to a great start.

Last year as we were living through the engagement I talked about the proposal, choosing a honeymoon destination and a few other things.
In the next couple days I’ll write about other wedding things as they seem important. How the honeymoon went, best and worst wedding vendors, how I had the best bridesmaids and cousins ever, and how blessed we have been in our first year as a married couple.
I know we couldn’t have gotten where we are without a strong relationship with each other, and more importantly God. And I know without a shadow of a doubt that most of you who read this prayed for us as we began this next chapter in our lives and continue too. Thanks to you all too! Your prayers mean so much.

I always hear of people saying the first year is the hardest….our first year was amazing as well. If that was the “hardest year” then man that was easy 😉 Life always has its ups and downs, but we are (both of us) blessed with such amazing families that are strong in their faith, and spouses that truly love the Lord. Happy Anniversary!!

We definitely are blessed! I’m sure there will be tough years, or at least moments, but it’s so great to know I have such a loving Christian leader beside me and we have bathed our relationship, future, and each step in prayer! Thanks for the kind words Shawna, that’s really sweet. 🙂

Happy anniversary!!! Tomorrow we celebrate our 23 anniversary!! And it just keeps getting better and better!! Your wedding was so beautiful and the most fun!!!! You two are just so cute and i love reading your blogs! Your right keep God at the center of your marriage and also be quick to forgive each other, always say you love each other and never stop dating 🙂 enjoy your day tomorrow and every day of your lives together! People tell Todd and I we act like were still on our honeymoon…I hope so why should it stop!! Haha ❤

I won’t tell you how old I would have been if I was a guest at your wedding 🙂 thanks for coming and being a part of our wedding day. It all seemed to go so right, especially since the only thing that really mattered was being married at the end of the day.
Thanks for the advice 🙂 we do our best to keep god at the center, and forgiving first and often has helped us gloss over all sorts of things pretty near painlessly. I gave that as advice at a wedding shower yesterday 🙂
If you and Todd are still honeymooners then we are still newlyweds! Hehe.
